For binding bring 1/4 yard of a coordinating fabric.  The fusible web, applique template and googly eyes will be provided for you. But you will need to bring a piece of black scrap fabric for your spider. If you have a 6.5" x 24" ruler that has a 60ยบ angle marked on it be sure to bring it! It will make the prep work a lot easier for you.  If you plan to hand sew the binding to the backside of your project in class bring your hand sewing needle also.

This block and the finished quilt were featured in the May/June 2014 issue of Quilty magazine.  The block lends itself to pretty much to any contrasting color combination.  I will bring the finished quilt for students to see how I pit it all together including the pieced backing and scrappy binding that was machine stitched into place. Learn about some modern quilting techniques and elements while learning to create a Scoreboard block. For your supplies please bring 1/2 yard each of two high contrasting fabrics. The pattern for the block and quilt will be provided for you.  Bring some painter's tape or post it notes if you have as well.  All other basic quilting supplies are necessary as well.
